Development of ISF Camp District Cooling Plant
About the work

The project consisted of two district cooling plants feeding a common net work each with capacity 40,000 TR. The fully built plant room peak delivered design capacity is 40,000 TR (140,668 KW) produced by electric driven centrifugal chillers of total capacity 32,000 TR ( 112,500 KW) and complimented by thermal energy storage system of t otal capacity 44,000 TR-HR (154,735 KW-HR). Makeup source for the district cooling process is TSE water supplied by the TSE tr eatment plant and tank located near the district cooling plant bui lding. Makeup for chilled water is through potable water supplied by potable water network in the project. The plant is constructed in tw o phases with phase 1 capacity of 35,000 TR where all equipment wa s provided to deliver the peak required plant capacity at a design eff iciency of 0.90 KW/TR. Each plant was constructed in phases as follows: North Plant: Phase 1 Capacity: 35,000 Ton Phase 2 Capacities: 40,000 Ton South Plant: Phase 1 Capacity: 35,000 Ton
