A major mountainous highway starting at the end of existing Nahr el Maout Boulevard with an interchange at Roumieh Road and providing a completely new alignment in a virgin land climbing the hills until it meets the existing road at Jouret el Ballout where an interchange was introduced.
The alignment passes under Deir Marchaaya and connects with the existing road at Baabdat entrance with a trumpet type interchange. The highway length is around 12 kms. It has 2 carriageways of 2 lanes each.
A mountainous highway of 12 km in length linking the coastal area of El- Metn Caza, North of Beirut with the mountain summer resort town of Baabdate in the upper Metn at around 1000m altitude.
The project includes 20 bridges and viaducts and 4 interchanges.
